New Technology
What new technologies are being used?
Operating Microscopes:
Our endodontic specialists utilize special surgical operating microscopes. Magnification and fiber optic illumination are helpful in aiding the doctor to see tiny details inside your tooth. Also, a tiny video camera on the operating microscope can record images of your tooth to further document the doctor’s findings.
3-D Cone Beam:
We were the first endodontic practice in the area to utilize this new technology. 3-D cone beam imaging allows our doctors to reveal crucial details such as depth and direction of canals, extra canals or the size and dimensions of bone infections which cannot be seen with traditional dental films.
Kodak 9000 3D (Panoramic)
Panoramic imaging is often a first-step requirement in many examinations and treatments. Our Kodak 9000 3-D System uses a high-resolution CCD detector with a variable focal trough to optimize image quality.
Intraoral Digital Radiograph:
All radiographs are taken with digital sensors, providing instant viewing on our computer monitors while significantly reducing radiation levels compared to film-based x-rays. This technology also allows for secure electronic transfer of medical information to our patients co-therapists.
