Dr. Saylor received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dental Medicine in 1994. He continued his eduction by attending a one year residency and received his certification in Advanced General Dentistry from the University of Maryland.
After completing six years in private practice as a general dentist, Dr. Saylor was then accepted into a two year Endodontic residency program at Boston University where he completed his advanced graduate studies and now holds a specialty certificate in Endodontics.
In 1994 Dr. Saylor opened his endodontic practice in State College, which is focused on the management and treatment of complex cases within the scope of endodontics. He has a specific interest in anesthesia and its use in patients referred to today's endodontic specialists.
Dr. Saylor is a board certified Endodontist. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, American Society of Dental Anesthesia and the Centre Dental Society, where he has served as past president.
Dr. Saylor is approved by the AGD PACE program and provides continuing education lectures to referring dentists and to other health care professionals in an effort to help them to better serve their patients. Some of his lectures to date include “Success in Endodontics”, “Management of Traumatic Injuries”, and “Prescribing of Rx Antibiotics”.
He is actively involved in Centre Volunteers in Medicine where he currently provides both endodontic and general dentistry services.
Dr. Saylor enjoys spending time with his four children. He is an avid runner and spends much of his “off” time exercising and training for various marathons and triathlons.
Dr Richey is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2000. He then attended the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, where he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree in 2005. Following graduation, he completed one year of postgraduate training in general dentistry at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Richey completed his postgraduate training in Endodontics at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV where he also earned his Master of Science degree in 2008. Dr. Richey is a board eligible endodontist.
Dr. Richey joined Central Pennsylvania Endodontics in 2008 and is happy to be back in the area to raise his family.
Dr. Richey is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Centre Dental Society. He regularly attends the DuBois Study Club, Seattle Study Club, and other continuing education courses.
Dr. Richey married his wife, Melissa, in 2005. They have three beautiful girls: Abigail, Madelyn, and Lillian. In his leisure time, Dr. Richey enjoys spending as much time as possible with his children. He also enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking, skiing, and biking.
